Our mission is to get the world investing successfully.

25 years ago, living in Ireland with a father interested in investing in U.S. stocks was as common as owning a talking dog. But that’s how it began – a dad who wanted to talk about investing and a boy who wanted to learn. 

My father gave me a small amount of money to invest and all he asked of me was to apply the lessons I'd learned from him, and not to sell the stocks I purchased. 

In doing so, I found a love for learning about businesses and owning small slices of all my favorite stocks for the long term. Now, almost everything I own is invested in great U.S. businesses. 

We created Rubicoin to offer everyone the basic ingredients of successful investing. We believe one good investment can change your life and we want everyone to have that opportunity. 

My best investment was in 2003 when I sold my car to buy shares in Netflix. I studied that company and felt they were onto something ​in​ leading ​a change in the media landscape. I bought Netflix stock at $1 per share; it now trades at over $100 per share. I still own those shares and even buy more when I can. 

My personal investment portfolio was audited in 2014. The average annual return was in excess of 24.4% per annum for 11 years. This isn’t luck. It’s applying a solid investment strategy: buy shares in outstanding companies and hold them for the long-term.
